AIM PE is a pioneering project committed to revolutionising Primary School Physical Education.

With a focus on evidence-based research, AIM PE strives to enhance the knowledge and teaching practices of primary school teachers. By incorporating scientific insights and best practices, the project aims to positively impact student learning experiences, fostering a heathier and more active lifestyle from an early age.

AIM PE’s mission is to provide teachers with the tools and knowledge necessary to create engaging and effective physical education programmes, where improving every child’s movement competency takes centre stage, ultimately contributing to the overall well-being of students.

The Founder:
Laurence Clark

Laurence has worked in education for over twelve years, having initially started out as sports coach, working for an Oxfordshire-based coaching company. Through this role, he learned the importance of delivering meaningful PE lessons to all children and how much this can influence their lives.

Laurence then wished to continue his own professional development, by completing a Batchelor of Science degree (BSc) in Strength and Conditioning Science (S&C) at St Mary’s University (Twickenham), providing him with further knowledge on how best to prescribe training and influence performance.

Laurence gained further experience within youth athletic development with part-time S&C roles in academy football and academy tennis whilst developing a successful primary school PE programme. In November 2022 he gained praise from OFSTED for the delivery and the design of an excellent PE programme.

In September 2022, Laurence enrolled on to the Youth Athletic Development Masters (MSc) programme at Cardiff Metropolitan University. This has enabled him to become a specialist within the youth S&C field, prompting him to use his vast skill set to sustainably roll-out a project that will revolutionise primary school physical education.
